Tipperary Slowfood are having a Ceiliuradh Naomh Padraig thru food in Nenagh at the St. Patricks day parade on March 17at 230.We are having a giant soup kitchen to feed all the participants in the parade.All the vegatables used will be grown locally.Many of Nenagh,s best known restaurants and cafes are taking part with the event being coordinated at Country Choice.The Cinnamon alley and Pantry cafes are participatingalong with the Ford and Larkins food pubs.The abbey court hotel and the Eco village at Cloughjordan will also be making soup.Slow food member Ann Burns of Brocka will make a selection of breads and some of her classic Lovage and cress soup.We hope to feed somewhere between 5 and 700 people. Slowfood Tipperary will use the occassion to demonstrate all that is Good,Clean and Fair in locally sourced Tipperary Foods. Tipperary Slowsfood will supply all the local vegatables to the soup providers.A number of Tipperary food producers and Slowfood members will be on hand to help out.Tipperary Slowfood are greatfull to Peter Ryan President of Nenagh Chamber of Commerce along with its members for the help in organising the event.If any readers would like to volunteer to help on the day please contact Peter Ward
